So, what’s it like working in VR?
I decided to take the plunge. I have to say it had been a long time since I had found something so appealing in my work environment.
I started out tentatively, but I quickly got into it. I had been worried about eye strain or headaches because of some past experiences, but that hasn’t been an issue.
I can now work full days without pain or any discomfort.
Another plus is that I take my office with me—work environment and screens included. I can even work from my car.
Hardware: the Meta Quest 3
It’s a Meta Quest 3 (formerly Oculus). The big advantage is that it runs on Android, so you can install just about anything from an APK—but that’s another story.
The application: Immersed
It’s the best option available today, and it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
